Wastewater Pollution

The use of toxic chemicals for traditional paper production has environmental impacts. In particular, the use of chlorine and other chemicals for bleaching causes a high amount of wastewater pollution.

Greenhouse Gas Emission

In traditional paper manufacturing, the production of 1 ton of paper results in approximately 950 kg of greenhouse gas emissions. The biggest contributing factor is energy consumption, which is around 45% of this.
